This folder contains clip art files from the Open Clip Art Library. You can store these files anywhere on your computer, but we recommend that you keep them in:
   [HARD DRIVE]/Users/Shared/SmileOnMyMac/ClipArt

The Open Clip Art Library is a community-driven effort to provide a library of free clip art for everyone to use. All images from the Open Clip Art Library are in the public domain, which means you can use them however you would like. We have included about 1300 images in this folder from the thousands available at the Open Clip Art Library.

The files are in SVG format. SVG stands for Scalable Vector Graphics, and is a W3C standard image file format, but is not understood by all Mac OS X applications. SVG files can include keywords (or tags) which make them searchable. The Clip Art palette in DiscLabel uses Apple's Spotlight(tm) searching technology to enable browsing through the clip art using the keywords. The Clip Art palette also converts the SVG files to a format that Mac OS X understands so the images can be added to your label design.

You can download more SVG files from the Open Clip Art Library web site. You can put them anywhere on your computer and they should become available in the Clip Art palette once Spotlight discovers them. However, note that not all the files have keywords, and some have keywords that are not useful, which can make it difficult to browse through them using the Clip Art palette.
